City breaks ground on Fond du Lac Police, Fire/Rescue Public Safety Training Center

VIDEO: The city of Fond du Lac broke ground Wednesday afternoon on the $4.5 million Public Safety Training Center, on the city's west side. Police and fire/rescue officials, as well as city leaders, turned out to take part in the ground breaking, including Fire/Rescue Chief Peter O’Leary, Police Chief Bill Lamb, Police Captain Steve Thiry, City Council President Karyn Merkel, Assistant Fire Chief Eric Gerritson, City Manager Joe Moore, City Engineer Paul DeVries and Community Development Director Dyann Benson. The building, for which C.D. Smith is serving as construction manager, will be situated on 25 acres of land along North Rolling Meadows Drive, and be a multi-level steel structure.
