Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation Gives Back to Fond du Lac, Howard and Mosinee Fire Departments

Today, the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation gave back to the firefighter community with the help of donating life-saving equipment and gear. The Town of Fond du Lac Fire Department received five sets of personal protective gear valued at $12,616. The gear includes coats and pants and will give volunteer firefighters will get the necessary protection in the line of duty. Howard Fire Department was given a respirator fit tester and adaptor valued at $13,925. The devices will assist in face piece sizing making sure that firefighters do not get exposed to toxins and carcinogens that could cause cancer. In the City of Mosinee, their Fire District received a pulse oximeter monitoring device which will be used to measure carbon monoxide levels and heart rate, giving the chance for firefighters to rehab on the scene of a fire.
