PHOTO: A gravel truck overturned after crashing into cars at the intersection of 52nd Street and 56th Avenue Tuesday afternoon, leaving five people injured. The crash occurred at about 1:45 p.m. According to witnesses, the truck was headed west on 52nd Street when it struck at least one vehicle, lost control and overturned. The truck had a blown tire, and some witnesses said they believed the blown tire caused the driver to lose control. Three cars were damaged in the crash, along with the truck. “It all happened so fast I am not really sure what happened,” said Dan Lathrop, who was driving a transport van east on 52nd Street when he saw the truck veer into his lane and overturn. He slammed on the brakes and came to a stop about one car-length from the flipped truck. “I’m still kind of shaking.”
