Fire officials are grateful that the fire hydrants near a garage fire were shoveled before they arrived. At least five fire departments from three counties worked to put out a garage fire in Brooklyn, officials said. The fire was reported just before 1 p.m. in the 200 block of Church Street, according to Dane County dispatch. Fire officials said when they arrived, they were grateful that the nearby fire hydrants were shoveled. "If that wouldn't have been done, it could have been a whole different result," a firefighter told News 3 at the scene.
