Fire damaged a mobile home along Marrowbone Creek in the Kermit area, the Kermit Volunteer Fire Department says. It happened around 2 p.m. Tuesday. Flames were coming from the roof when crews arrived, including help from the Warfield Volunteer Fire Department. Nearly 10 firefighters battled the flames for nearly four hours in 90 degree-plus heat. No one was home at the time of the fire, and no one was hurt.
