A Martinsburg man was arrested after allegedly admitting to starting a fire at his grandmother’s home in June after an argument with his sister, according to Berkeley County Magistrate Court records. Dalton Donivan, 24, of Bessemer Lane, was arraigned Friday in magistrate court on the felony charges of first-degree arson and attempting to commit arson. No one was injured in the fire due to a granddaughter observing the smoke coming into the residence and alerting the other occupants, court records said. Two children and one adult were home at the time of the fire.
