Mason VFD reports one person sustains burns in Tuesday evening fire battled by multiple departments

Firefighters battled a blaze in Mason County that could be seen from a mile away and in which one person received burns. The Mason Volunteer Fire Department said in Facebook post the fire occurred about 7 p.m. Tuesday on Adamsville Road near the fire department. All of the residents were able to get out of one the one-story structure, but one person did have burns. No condition was immediately available. An extensive fire was reported, and it took firefighters about two hours to bring the blaze under control. The Middleport, Pomeroy and New Haven volunteer fire departments assisted. The Mason and New Haven police departments and Mason County EMS also responded.
