City officials requested Martinsburg’s city attorney Kin Sayre to write the manufacturer of the city’s three ambulances requesting it provide repairs and restore three ambulances the city purchased from the company three years ago. Appearing before the council, Martinsburg Fire Chief Paul Bragg said he has so far not been able to get International Navistar to satisfactorily repair the three purchased vehicles. Bragg said the ambulances still have a problem with motor oil leaking into the vehicles’ diesel fuel supply. Bragg said he continues to communicate with an International Navistar representative, who downplayed the vehicles’ oil leaking problem.
