The Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Assistance to Firefighters Grant program (AFG) has awarded nearly $375,000 for ambulance services in Boone County and the Town of Quinwood. Specifically, Boone County Ambulance Authority will receive $153,077 and Quinwood Emergency Ambulance Inc. will receive $221,230 for the purchase of equipment. “From flood recovery to support for our first responders, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security provides invaluable resources to West Virginia communities,” said U.S. Sen. Shelley Moore Capito. “As chairman of the Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee, I am thrilled to see this funding come to southern West Virginia. I will continue to fight for resources that keep our state and our nation safe.”
