Lewis County fire departments get new equipment thanks to local business grant

Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation was able to donate more than $11,000 worth of new equipment. The money was raised by the community. Customers at any of the three Firehouse Sub locations in the state were able to donate by participating in the "Round Up" program, where they round up their order total to the nearest dollar. That money went to the foundation. Fire chief Matt Collins said that smaller departments like Pricetown. "Foundations like Firehouse Subs and organizations like that really come into play to help get equipment that is much needed for small departments like ours," said Collins Bonnie and Ron Stuart, the owner of the sub shops, say it is a small but important way to give back to those who help keep the community safe.
