An old abandoned hotel in Webster County is destroyed after a massive fire there, Friday morning. According to a press release from the Webster Springs Volunteer Fire Department Facebook page, crews responded to reports of flames at the old Oakland Hotel just after midnight. No injuries were reported. The structure is being ruled a total loss. At least three vehicles and three structures nearby sustained heat damage. Main St. in Webster Springs is closed while crews work to clean up the area. Frontier Communications central office main phone lines sustained damage with some loss of service to some customers in the area. Crews are in route to begin making repairs.
