In honor of National Bike Month, the City of Princeton Fire Department will be having their 9th Annual “Child Safety Education Day." The event is aimed to remind kids and their parents that it is “Cool to be Safety Smart."
The workshop will take place this Saturday, May 7, at the Princeton Municipal Building from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Firefighter, Aaron Beeman, said there will be a bicycle obstacle course and a bicycle helmet giveaway for those in need of one.
“We like to see our kids being safe - parents enforcing the safety with their kids. We’ve had some accidents over the years. They could have been prevented with the education that we’re providing now. Our biggest thing is, the kids are our future, and we want to do everything we can to protect our kids in this area," Beeman said.
