Lewis-Gilmer E911 awarded $60,000 grant by WV Department of Homeland Security

Lewis-Gilmer E911 was awarded a grant by the WV Department of Homeland Security. During the Lewis County Commission meeting on Monday, commission members approved and accepted the grant for an amount of $60,000. This will be for county wide emergency radios. According to 911 official James Gum, these radios will be at every fire department and emergency vehicles. They will be able to use these radios to contact other counties around the state in case of emergency or natural disaster.
