Bonnie Jones of Keystone saw a little creek in back of her home turn into a raging river Wednesday afternoon. With heavy rain hitting the area, flooding swelled Paw Paw Creek, submerging two of her flower beds as the dirty brown water crept into her backyard. It also surrounded her picnic table and another flower bed with yellow and orange marigolds. Leaves floated on the surface of the water where it invaded her lawn. “It came from Fairview and came it all of a sudden,” she said. She commented that the waterway “pretty well turned into a river,” noting that the waters started rising around 1 p.m. Jones said a lot of debris, including trees and tires, were swept downstream with the current.
