Fifteen people found out they’ll be moved into different places to live after a roof collapse at the Simms School Apartments Monday morning. Mark Jarrett, the agency administrator for the Housing Development Corporation, tells WSAZ the building has been condemned, and the tenants will not be moving back in. He says they’re working on leases and finding places for those tenants to be moved to. The agency is also working on moving the tenants’ belongings. The old Simms School now houses 12 apartments, as well as the Meals on Wheels program. Jarrett says the insurance company will be looking into what happened.
