An investigation into allegations that the Martinsburg Fire Department hasn’t been properly testing its hoses will continue with a followup investigation, according to minutes from a Dec. 14 West Virginia State Fire Commission meeting. An investigation of former Martinsburg Fire Chief Paul Bragg, who resigned on Dec. 10, is also supposed to be referred to Berkeley County Prosecuting Attorney Catie Wilkes Delligatti, the records said. Asked about the investigation following Thursday’s Martinsburg City Council meeting, city attorney Kin Sayre said as far as inspections and documents go, things are being taken care of. “We’ve completed all the inspections and have all the documentation taken place to show that the department is still in compliance with state regulations.”
