DALLAS, TX - The American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA) is proud to present the webinar "How to Build Your Management Skills Before You're Management" presented by Jamil Shamoon and Ray Fremont, Jr. on March 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Central Standard Time.

Preparing for success as a future manager is more than mastering the technical skills of your job or trade.By broadening your understanding of management, you will not only create more opportunity for yourself, but you will also become a better team member in whatever your current position is.

In this webinar you will learn practical tips, tricks and skills that will help to prepare you for a successful career as a manager. Filling a management role can be one of the most challenging positions you may ever fill, but by preparing yourself ahead of time, you can turn the tables to make management one of the most rewarding times in your career.

Presenter Jamil Shamoon is the Owner and President of Symons Fire Protection, Inc. A 25+ year company serving the fire protection needs of San Diego County in California. He has a passion for growing and challenging people to find and maximize their full potential. Starting as a helper in the fire protection industry and with his mind set on owning a business he pursued a degree in business management at San Diego State University in the evening after working in the field all day. He has held roles in a variety of positions through his career from foreman to superintendent, project manager to executive vice president and almost everything in between.

PresenterRay Fremont Jr. represents the fourth generation of his family in their air compressor and industrial equipment manufacturing company General Air Products, Inc. as the Director of Marketing. He has been an active member of the fire sprinkler industry for 19 years. He is a member of the AFSA M/S Council.
