Eleven Graduate Fire and Rescue Officer Development School

Congratulations!!

Loudoun County Fire and Rescue (LCFR) is proud to announce the graduation of 11 fire and rescue personnel from the 8th annual LCFR Officer Development School. These senior firefighters and technicians attended the comprehensive, two-week program at the Oliver Robert Dubé Fire & Rescue Training Academy in Leesburg, in preparation for their impending promotion to Officer.

Members of LCFR’s senior staff worked alongside seasoned company officers to design the program for newly promoted officers; the curriculum focused on both leadership and management. This intensive, hands-on, training program focused on developing all aspects of a company officer’s role through a combination of lectures and practical exercises. Graduates refined their ability to lead and manage their staff and learn effective methods to mentor, cultivate, and grow our department’s personnel. The program utilized various internal instructors, as well as presenters from outside agencies to deliver dynamic presentations and conduct realistic exercises.
