Odessa Fire & Rescue Protection District
Odessa Fire & Rescue Protection District is seeking a strong EMS/Fire leader to fill the role of Director of EMS. The District will be assuming the operations of the local EMS service in 2020 and is seeking an individual to immediately assist in preparing for this transition. The individual will work under the Fire Chief. After the District assumes EMS operations the Director of EMS will be responsible for all facets of the medical operations of the District and will serve as shift supervisor of his or her 24-hour shift. The pay range for this position will be $47,000-$50,000 depending on qualifications and experience. Qualifications for said position are
* Missouri driver’s license (must be able to obtain)
* High school diploma
*Missouri Licensed paramedic (national registry preferred)
* Firefighter I & II Certifications
* EMS Instructor Certification
* Fire Instructor I (preferred)
* Minimum of 5-7 years of service as a paramedic
* Must pass a background investigation, medical examination, agility test and pre-employment drug screen.
