Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000 per year

The Sheridan, West Valley, and Southwest Polk Fire Districts are seeking qualified fire professionals for their new unified management team.  The districts are excited to offer this opportunity to be part of combining three districts, over 500 square miles of area and two ambulance service areas. The combined districts will serve a population base of approximately 19,000 from 4 staffed stations and 3 volunteer response stations.  Located in the heart of Willamette Valley wine country, the area offers scenic beauty, rural life style, recreation opportunities, and is centrally located with easy access to Portland, Salem and the Oregon Coast.

The Battalion Chiefs are primarily responsible for the coordination of activities on their assigned shift. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, managing fire suppression operations and emergency incidents, planning department-wide activities, functions and programs.  Battalion Chiefs work directly for the Deputy Chief.
