South Kitsap Fire and Rescue
Location: Port Orchard, WA
South Kitsap Fire and Rescue is seeking qualified individuals to establish a Lateral Entry Firefighter and Firefighter/Paramedic hiring list by July 1st, 2019. This recruitment is being conducted to fill current vacancies with South Kitsap Fire and Rescue. The list established from this recruitment may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur. Applicants must be WA State EMT or WA State Paramedic certified by date of hire. Under general supervision, the position performs firefighting activities in combating, extinguishing, preventing fires, providing advanced emergency medical care, and other related work activities connected with the response to emergency and other incidents; operates and maintains firefighting and rescue equipment; maintains fire stations and apparatus. This is a full-time position working on a 24/48 shift and is represented by IAFF Local 2876 collective bargaining agreement.
