North Whidbey Fire & Rescue is actively seeking to hire a Fire Chief. North Whidbey Fire and Rescue is a Fire Protection District governed by a three-member Board of Commissioners. The Fire Chief reports directly to the Board of Commissioners. The ideal candidate will have ten (10) years of progressively responsible fire service command experience in a combination department. Consideration will be given for a combination of education and experience.
The new Fire Chief will be supported by a Battalion Chief, three full-time office administrators, and 81 part-time and volunteers in the delivery of EMS, Fire suppression, hazmat response, water rescue, high angle rescue, public education and strong public relations.
