The California City Fire Department is an "all risk" fire department that services the city limits of California City, California. The department has a minimum daily staffing of a four personnel out of one centrally located fire station. CCFD is an all Advanced Life Support fire and EMS service provider. CCFD runs approximately 3,000 calls for service a year and covers 204 square miles.

Lateral Fire Apparatus Engineer and Firefighter Paramedic positions will be hired immediately upon successful completion of the hiring process. Paramedic, Firefighter, and non-lateral Fire Apparatus Engineer will be used to form an eligibility list for future vacancies.
