Georgetown Fire Protection District
Location: Georgetown, CA
Georgetown, California, is a registered California Historical Landmark located in El Dorado County, California.
The District currently covers 96 square miles with a population of about 6,500. Commercial development is located in primarily two geographical areas of the District within a mile of each other. In addition, there is a general aviation airport, a water treatment facility, and two bulk propane plants that are known target hazards.
The District’s Fire Chief is retiring after a 12-year tenure. Current staffing includes a full-time Administrative Assistant and a combination of paid and volunteer firefighters, including five Firefighter/Paramedics and one Firefighter/EMT assigned to the ambulance.

Salary range: $140,000–$145,000. Starting salary is dependent upon experience/qualifications and will be negotiated at time of hire. The District also provides a generous benefit package of PERS, health, dental, vision, vacation, sick leave, and District-supplied, fully-equipped incident management vehicle.
