Illinois Valley Fire District was founded in December 23, 1954. Illinois Valley Fire District is a full service fire suppression and EMS governmental tax based agency with six strategically located fire stations within the 144 square miles of the Illinois Valley, located off State Highway 199, 28 miles west of Grants Pass, Oregon.
Illinois Valley Fire District employs a career staff of seven (7) consisting of a Fire Chief, Deputy Chief, Division Chief of Operations/Prevention, Division Chief of Logistics/Maintenance, ACE Fire Mechanic, Division Chief of Administration, and the District Secretary. We also have 4 paid FF/EMT’s funded by a 5 year levy (FY 2017-18 thru FY 2021-22), and a volunteer suppression and support staff of approximately 35 members.
