PRIMARY PURPOSE
Directs the activities of EMS and firefighting companies and provide training to all staff volunteer and career. Duties include responsibility for personnel, apparatus, equipment and facilities. Directs and participates in extinguishing and preventing fires, provides emergency medical services, training, public fire education, fire prevention activities, and apparatus and facilities maintenance. Plans, supervises and participates in the training and instruction of district members in the methods of lifesaving and firefighting; oversees the daily activities (emergency and non-emergency) of assigned district members; maintains readiness and proficiency levels as required by the department; acts within established department guidelines and regulations.
