Western Lane Fire and EMS Authority (WLFEA), with headquarters in Florence, Oregon, is announcing an opening for two Full Time Firefighter/ EMT-Basic or Firefighter/ Paramedic positions. The ideal candidate will have current certifications as a Firefighter and/or Firefighter/Paramedic with experience working in a similar or larger system. The candidates selected will be expected to rotate between staffing an ALS transport ambulance and a fire engine. Highly qualified paramedic only candidates will be considered and will be expected to complete a department firefighter academy if hired. An eligibility list will be established following the testing process and this list may remain active, at the discretion of the Authority, for a maximum of two (2) years and may be used to fill future vacancies. Firefighter/ EMT-Basic or Firefighter / Paramedic candidates not selected for the current openings may be considered for part-time employment with the District.
