GENERAL PURPOSE

Under the general direction of the Fire Chief, this position is assigned responsibility for fire department operations. In addition, the position will be assigned responsibilities of an administrative nature. This is a management position that works within the guidelines provided by applicable laws, rules, regulations and standards and policies. This position requires the use of independent judgment and a thorough knowledge of department wide operations.
