At less than an hour southeast of Eugene, and only a couple hours away from the Oregon Coast, this timber industry town prides itself on being named the mountain biking Capital of the PNW. Oakridge is a magical outdoor playground for hiking, ATV, horseback riding, fishing, water sports and even snow mobile trails. And you can’t go wrong with a visit to the hot springs or local brewery. It’s the perfect place for those who love adventuring outdoors.

At Oakridge Fire & EMS, we have 3 Full - Time Career Firefighter/Paramedics, 10 Part-Time Staff and 24 Volunteers serving the communities of Oakridge, Westfir, and Hazeldell. Oakridge Fire & EMS has an ASA response area that covers 2,200 square miles. We work as a team to respond to all types of emergencies. We have one main station staffed 24/7 by a Full-Time, Part-Time and Volunteer members. In 2023, Oakridge Fire & EMS responded to 1,175 calls for service.
