A firefighter is in the hospital after a fire truck pinned him to another truck Saturday afternoon. Chief Lynn Blake with the Wynne Fire Department said the department was paged to help the Parkin Fire Department on a fire call when the incident happened. Firefighter Rick Wimberley arrived on the scene in his personal truck, waiting for crews to come. As crews were coming to the scene, one of the Parkin fire trucks drove too close to Wimberley and ended up pinning him between his truck and the fire truck. Wimberly was transported to Regional Medical Center. His condition is still unclear at this time, though Wimberley's son Michael Wimberley wrote in a public Facebook post that his father "is doing as good as can be." Michael Wimberley said he has a fractured pelvis and a lot of bruises. Doctors are also checking for shoulder injuries.
