There's a travelling effort to honor first responders in El Paso in the wake of the mass shooting which killed 22 people. A pair of flags are going to be making their way through Texas and are being signed by first responders. Floresville is just the first stop of a statewide tour where two different Texas flags will be getting signatures. One is for first responders only, and the other is from everyone else. Firefighters and paramedics at Wilson County district 2 Fire station signed a brand new Texas flag. Some of these firefighters were first responders to the Sutherland Springs massacre. From there, the flag is going to go to the Wilson County Sheriffs Office and then to a community center in Sutherland Springs. This plan was set up by a paramedic who responded to the Sutherland Springs tragedy. He said that having first responders who have shared this horrible experience come together is an important part of the healing process.
