VIDEO: Tipton County was hit with flooding as a result of constant, driving rain. The Brighton Fire Department is drying out after the tables were turned as several inches of water flooded their station forcing an evacuation. "This one was one of the worst because not only did the fire station get affected and if that gets affected, we can't help people," said Tipton County Fire Chief, Jon Piercey. Chief Piercey said Brighton fire fighters spent the day doing their job by helping others, while trying to help themselves. About 8 to 10 inches of flood wagers forced the first responders out of their firehouse for about 6 hours. "Luckily it wasn't as high as it has been in the past and we were able to get everybody together and cleanup the station and get them back to service so that they can respond later on," said Piercey.
