VIDEO: Parts of Eufaula are now unrecognizable after the tornado passed through the town, completely destroying the north side fire station and the Eufaula Municipal Airport. Two firemen were on duty at the time when the tornado hit, fortunately both men remained safe by hunkering down in one of the bath tubs in the fire station. The footage you're seeing on your screen is a look at the aftermath of the damage. Eufaula police were called out to direct traffic along Highway 431 due to trees and power lines being down on one side of the road. Mayor Tibbs says that there was a natural gas leak from fuel cans and possibly one or two vehicles. It has since been contained by the Eufaula Fire Department. Mayor Tibbs also says the north side fire department will be moved into town for now.
