VIDEO: Firefighters battled a large fire in Duncanville that could be seen from Texas Sky Ranger.
The fire engulfed five townhomes at 1408 Crosspointe in Duncanville near Clark and Wheatland Road.
Michelle Monterro's home was destroyed by the fire. She said her neighbors had work crews in the home doing some sort of repair work when the fire broke out. Monterro lost her home of just six months and said she didn't know where she and her family would sleep, as there were no hotels available for miles due to power outages.
Other neighbors claimed to have seen people running from the home after the fire sparked, but police would not confirm anything about the claims of work crews or people leaving the scene.
The Duncanville Fire Department, along with Grand Prairie, Lancaster and Midlothian fire departments, worked to contain the fire as it continued to spread to other residences.
