A Hamilton firefighter was injured Thursday when he fell out of a fire truck while en route to a call in the Mercer County town on Wednesday. The firefighter was in the front passenger’s seat of the rig with its lights and sirens on just before 1:30 p.m. when the passenger door opened and he tumbled to the ground near the corner of Nottingham Way and Donald Drive, Hamilton police said. “He was leaning on the door and it gave way,” a Hamilton police spokesman said. “There was some bleeding to his head and he was brought to Capital Health [hospital] with moderate injuries.” The truck was taken out of service. A photo from Peterson’s Breaking News shows it was Engine 14. The Hamilton Fire Division couldn’t be reached for more information.
