VIDEO: The sole survivor of a deadly building collapse that killed three Baltimore City firefighters honored his fallen comrades Wednesday on International Firefighters Day. Firefighter John McMaster was critically injured on Jan. 24 when he and his fellow firefighters battled a blaze at a vacant home in the 200 block of South Stricker Street in West Baltimore's Mount Clare section. Baltimore City Firefighters Lt. Paul Butrim, Kelsey Sadler and Kenny Lacayo were killed. McMaster was pulled from the rubble and spent three days at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. "To say this year has been challenging would be an understatement. I have witnessed firsthand the dedication and commitment demonstrated by our firefighters to protect the lives of others in our community," McMaster said in a video posted to social media.
