No one was hurt in a fire that burned down a recreational vehicle parked in a Chena Marina driveway Thursday afternoon.
Firefighters responded at 2:28 p.m. to the burning vehicle on Back Court. It was a Class A — the largest classification of RV — and was parked in the driveway of a home, said Patrick Mead, battalion chief with the University Fire Department.
Chena Goldstream Fire and Rescue was the primary department on the call because of the location of the fire, but the University and Ester departments also responded to provide mutual aid.
The RV was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived. The RV was a complete loss. Firefighters contained the fire to the RV. The side of the home next to it sustained some heat damage from the blaze, Mead said.
He said the cause of the fire wasn’t immediately apparent, and is under investigation.
