Another wildfire has been reported in the Southcentral area after an unexpectedly dry weekend. The latest fire posted on the Division of Forestry fire monitoring website is on the Crow Pass trail, which runs from the Eagle River Nature Center to Crow Pass. The fire is about six miles from the Nature Center. According to DOF, firefighters tried to climb up the rocky hillside to access the fire, but were turned back by falling rock. Instead a helicopter made multiple water drops on Sunday night. Managers say that the chance of the fire spreading is "fairly low." Still, they continued to drop water on the fire on Monday morning.
