The Anchorage Fire Department says Yakitori Sushi House and a neighboring business were broken into early Monday morning before a fire destroyed the interior of the sushi restaurant.
"We do know that this morning's fire, there was a break-in to that particular business and to a business next door," Anchorage Fire Marshal Cleo Hill said Monday afternoon. "Based on the evidence, we believe it (the sushi restaurant fire) was intentionally set."
The owner of Yakitori Sushi House told Channel 2 that he had installed security cameras with a livestream operated by Ring at the restaurant.
"From what I understand, there have been some Facebook videos posted of the possible perpetrators." Hill said. "We'd really appreciate any information or any I.D. on the individuals in the video."
The Yakitori fire is the third business to go up in flames in just over a month within a three mile radius of Tudor Road.
