Anchorage police have launched an investigation into the death of a man found at a home on the 1800 block of Twining Drive early Thursday morning.
According to the Anchorage Police Department, officers and firefighters responded to the East Anchorage residence around 4:30 a.m. for a report of a fire. Smoke was reportedly seen billowing from the residence.
In an alert just after 8 a.m., police said a man was pronounced dead at the scene, and referred to the death as suspicious.
There were no other injuries, according to APD. Homicide detectives have responded to the scene and police say the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Anyone with surveillance footage or information about the incident is asked to call the department's non-emergency line at 311.
