One person was hurt after a head-on crash between an ambulance and a pickup truck in a remote area of Alaska this weekend, according to a report. It happened Saturday morning on the Richardson Highway between Delta Junction and Fairbanks when the pickup truck tried to overtake a tractor-trailer, according to the Delta Wind. The owner of Delta Medical Transport told the website both the ambulance and pickup tried to avoid each other but were unable to. Both were wrecked in the crash. No one in the ambulance was hurt. The pickup driver was taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. The patient in the ambulance was taken to the hospital in another rig.
