Hecla Mining Company makes donation of masks to Juneau first responders

Hecla Mining Company continued to work to identify the immediate needs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Hecla Greens Creek Mine donated 30,000 protect masks today to the City and Borough of Juneau and 12,500 gloves to the Juneau Police Department. CBJ Emergency Operations Center Logistics Section Chief George Schaaf said he was grateful to get these supplies, "They are being provided to first responders at the Juneau Police Department as well as supporting various task forces through the Emergency Operations Center. The masks from Hecla will allow us to reopen essential services and facilities safely while we wait for back-ordered supplies to arrive."
