VIDEO: One person was injured in an overnight house fire in north Birmingham Sunday. Firefighters responded to a house fire call in the 1900 block of 19th Terrace N around 12:17 a.m. and they arrived to find a house engulfed by flames and a man inside. Birmingham Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief Sebastian Carillo said the man was rescued from the burning home and taken to the hospital, where he's listed in "serious condition." Carillo said there were no smoke alarms in the house. The cause of the blaze is unknown at this time.
