Firefighters battled a major fire at a popular restaurant in Lillian in Baldwin County early Friday morning. This was at The Pirate’s Cantina Mexican Grill, a restaurant at 33802 U.S. 98 near the Alabama-Florida line. Multiple agencies responded to the fire. The Elberta Fire Department reports the cause of the fire is under investigation. The fire department in Lillian says there were no injuries reported. The following was posted to social media by Lillian Fire Rescue: "Early this morning Lillian Fire was called to a structure fire at Pirates Cantina. Thank you to all our mutual aid as well as the newly established Baldwin County Tanker Taskforce. This resource is available to fire departments who need a large supply of water and comprises resources from all departments in Baldwin County."
