Gulf Shores Fire-Rescue lent a helping hand to a hawk who was trapped inside a Family Dollar store. The bird flew inside when the front doors of the store were propped open Saturday while workers were moving merchandise inside. Employees tried to get the hawk to fly out, but the bird ended up flying into a window, injuring its right eye. Firefighters arrived and captured the hawk with a net. It was taken to the Orange Beach Wildlife Center for rehabilitation.
