A house fire takes the life of a woman in Attalla. Chief Robert Dillard with the Attalla fire department tells ABC 33/40 News that her home on 3rd street caught fire and spread to the two neighboring houses. The state fire marshal has been called in. No word yet on the cause. The chief says two houses next door have extensive damage. Only one person was at home at the time of the fire. No other injuries are reported.
