PHOTOS: Crews responded to a large fire at the poultry manufacturing plant, River Valley Ingredients, in Hanceville Friday afternoon, according to Hanceville Mayor Kenneth Nail. The manufacturing plant is located on County Road 508. Authorities confirmed fire crews first responded to the fire around 12:30 p.m. Multiple local fire departments were called in to help with the fire and a 10,000 gallon water tanker was being filled around 2:00 p.m., to combat the fire. Mayor Nail confirmed no one was injured in the fire, but said the fire has impacted hundreds of employees. The cause of the fire is still unknown, but authorities said foul play is not believed to be a factor at this time. On Saturday afternoon, Hanceville Mayor Kenneth Nail said the fire at the poultry plant has rekindled and crews had to be dispatched.
