Birmingham firefighters put out a fire in a city-owned building in the 2900 block of Avenue I in Ensley Wednesday. It started around 3:00 p.m. Firefighters said the building is used to store lawn equipment for the city. It is also used to park city vehicles in the back lot. No one was hurt in the fire. No one was in the building at the time of the fire. The fire was contained to one area. The fire is under investigation.
