VIDEO: VIDEO: According to the Searcy Fire Department, firefighters from Station 1 recently responded to a call for a fire alarm at a resident's home. They arrived to the home and made sure the resident was in no immediate danger, however, they did see one major issue. The resident could not leave his home without assistance. After this realization, the department decided to take it upon themselves to rectify the highly dangerous situation. They reached out to others in the community for help. Lowe's Home Improvement provided the department with discounted materials, the Searcy Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary provided funding, then personnel from Station 1B constructed a wheelchair ramp that will provide this resident with years of safe use.
