There are now 41 positive COVID-19 cases in Arkansas nursing homes. The Department of Health announced Wednesday a fourth long term facility has reported a positive test for the virus. The most recent positive test came from a resident here at The Waters of White Hall nursing home. Arkansas Secretary of Health Dr. Nate Smith says the recent positive case is connected to a patient with the virus that was treated at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center. The White Hall nursing home has reported only one positive test, but department of health officials say they are working with the facility and the Health Care Association to test other residents and staff members that have been around the patient. As of Wednesday, the department of health is reporting 37 cases at Briarwood Nursing Home in Little Rock, one case at Apple Creek Health and Rehab in Centerton, two cases at the Villages of General Baptist West in Pine Bluff and one case at the Waters of White Hall Nursing Home.
